Vitamin Angels and Walgreens announced their 12-year partnership has reached 500 million women, infants and young children both in the United States and in 65 other countries with life-changing vitamins and minerals.

By addressing critical gaps in nutrition, Vitamin Angels and Walgreens are advancing global health equity. The two are improving access to essential nutrients to not only support healthier pregnancies, birth outcomes, and set children on a path toward healthy growth and development but also paves the way for long-term prosperity, according to Vitamin Angels.

Since 2013 Walgreens has donated 1 percent of participating vitamin and supplement products’ retail sales to Vitamin Angels.

In 2024, this support helped Vitamin Angels’ U.S. program reach 500,000 underserved pregnant women. That same year, Vitamin Angels and Walgreens expanded the Prenatal Vitamin Program, which provides free prenatal multivitamins and nutrition education to pregnant women in underserved communities, to all 50 states in more than 2,300 Walgreens locations. The program also offers a direct-ship option in select markets.

“For the past 12 years, Vitamin Angels and Walgreens have helped improve the health of a child or mom every second of every day. This is incredible! This milestone underscores the extraordinary impact a long-standing, mission-aligned nonprofit-corporate partnership can achieve. Together, we are proving that meaningful, global change is not only possible, it’s happening,” said Vitamin Angels CEO Ana Céspedes.
